Welcome to the World of Music @ Divine Ragas

Divine Ragas was formed in the year 2007 under the banner of MGOCSM, Diocese of Mumbai by musically inclined youth under the able guidance of Fr. Laby George for improvisation and development of the liturgical and gospel music of Orthodox Church.The aim being to be a music centre to bring together talented youngsters for the growth of the church and to contribute to Orthodox music. DR is an open group and endeavors to attract and encourage participation of the Orthodox youth vide music and assist the future generations to actively participate in the Orthodox church activities.



Divine Ragas ... the Journey Ahead
The various events and activities taken up by the group are always done under the able leadership of our very own Thirumeni, H.G. Geevarghese Mar Coorilos, President of MGOCSM Mumbai (also President of MGOCSM, India) and Rev. Fr.Aswin Fernandis who is the current Vice President of MGOCSM, Diocese of Mumbai.

We would like to thank all of them for their co-operation. We also remember and acknowledge all those who have contributed so far towards the success of Divine Ragas. We look forward to seeing this group grow in numbers and take this ahead in the years to come.

Behind the Scenes

    













       Well ... this group has come along a great way since the last two years since its inception in 2007.  Right from 'The Divine Ragas concert benefiting Pratham' - a  praise and Worship concert which was organised in association with the NGO –Pratham  in  Sept 2007 at Mumbai to the 'Divine Ragas Nite' held in February'09 at Vapi Concert this group has  helped to generate funds for the church rebuilding plan of the Vapi church, taken part in Events of Praise and Worship, Conferences and Competitions and have kept up the faith in singing for the Lord.
      
We take you through the build up captured in this picture that this group is going through before the concert that will be coming shortly.
